New HDHomeRun, Schedules nat active

Postby TonVH » Tue Mar 07, 2017 2:06 pm

I have replaced my old HDHR3-EU with a HDHR3-4DC. Did this by deleting old HDHR and installing the new tuners. All set.

Problem is that the already existing schedules are still there but are clearly not active. How to activate these without deleting them all and reentering?

I am afraid that all schedules that use channel ids have to be recreated. The "old" channel ids are probably gone together with the removed tuners.
What schedules/types are they?

The most simple ones. Select program, click on symbol for "multiple recordings". No other changes.

Must say: DVBlink is good software but the scheduling really lacks all sophistication. A pity because it forces me to remain with (deadware?) EyeTV for my main system.

Can you, please, mention as a bullet list the exact features you miss in a priority order? Thanks.

There need to be 2 basic options:

1. Selecting a program from the EPG GUI and then (directly) showing a window where user can enter/select:
1.a At least limiting between which time it should be recorded. (this largely eliminates reruns and smaller timechanges)
2.b Also nice would be limiting by days, broadcaster.
2.c. Define as one-time only or continuous recording/repeat yesno.

2. Chosing "Make new schdule and enter minmal programname (regexp?)
2.a.Optionals:
Date (can be omitted), time between,
Repeat yes/no
Broadcaster
Active yes/no

3. Possibility to make changes to schedules that are already present. Best way is to show all in a Window with a save/revert option.

Windows for option 1 & 2 can be identical. In option 1 some things (like: name, date, time, ....) could be prefilled.
PS: 1 & 2 are very identical. Only difference is the way the Window is activated (either from EPG GUI of manually.

Extra's that make it better:
- Choosing pre/post recording length
- Choosing format (.TS, .MKV)
- Max. number of recording to be saved.

A picture says more than a 1.000 words. Included 2 examples. A comprehensive one (Dutch but should be understandable) and a very extensive one.

This is a better readable version of a very extensive scheduler.
