Detects DVB-T instead of DVB-C

DVBLink TV Server for Mac OS X is discussed here!

Detects DVB-T instead of DVB-C

Postby TonVH » Tue Jul 19, 2016 12:10 pm

I have a HDHR Expand on y network. Previous installation went fine with some minor details (could see stations, no EPG/Logo). So I decided to trash all pertaining to DVBlink Server and start from scratch.

Problem is now that DVBlink suddenly recognizes the Expand as an DVB-T signal where it is (and was) DVB-C. Already trashed DVBlink, reinstall from scratch but no luck.

Log is attached.

PS:
Scratched the install again and installed the Player version. Went fine but that says that the "license file" was for a different configuration. Apparently simply trashing all pertaining to DVBlink is not enough and there must be some (probably hidden) files left.

Please, remove the DVBlink player and install the server version.
Then just make a screenshot of the issue.

See print. The top 2 (HDHR3) are both correct set to DVB-C but the bottom 4 (HDHR Expand) all say DVB-T.

It is not a problem, just add a new source from this tuner and choose the DVB-C. If it is really DVB-C tuner, then all will work well.
(and after the configuring, the type will be DVB-C)

Correct. Normally I always go further to see what happens but this very one time I decide to do it step-by-step.

Is working now and hope that the EPG will appear.

Thx.

If there some EPG issues, you may write about it here as well.

I placed a file "xmlgen.xml" into "/User/Shared/DVBlink/xmltv", changed the update to 1, saved. So by now the EPGXMK option should already have appeared in Setpup->Channel->EPG sources". but it does not.

Teh .xml is genuine since it is 100% identical to the one used for DVBlink running on a Synology.

I do have doubts whether the setting of Refresh interval" to "1" is sticky because if I take a look it has always reverted to 12. Maybe the refresh intervals only works for a specified grabber URL?

I may say something useful after looking at the log files.
So, please, set log level to info, restart dvblink server -> go to XMLTV Source -> delete it, and create a new one, wait up to 20 minutes and attach zipped log files here.
