Away-Mode after end of recording

Postby holzfred » Wed Jul 19, 2017 5:06 pm

Hello Oberon,
hello @ all.

I see, that DVBLink is setting my server into away-mode during a sheduled recording. This is correct. But what is happened after finished the recording? My server will run until I restart it manual.

Is it possible to stop the away mode after sheduled TV-record is finished?

Why? I use Lightsout for Server https://www.green-it-software.com/ to control my server. It goes into suspend after the last client is logged of. Now my server is still running after recording, because... Away mode /on.

Any idea?

Thank you

Uwe

Actually, if there is no any recording to be recorded in a next 10-15 minutes, dvblink goes to "stand-by mode" as well.
But if you do have some external EPG source, it may download new epg data and parse it (this takes much more time)
And EPG is updated automatically each 12 hours by default.

Need to check the log files with Info log level and reproduced issue, in order to say more.

Hello again.

top find the mistake I create a new logfile and add a shedule in the Timer and restart the Server. After few minutes the server go to standby. At 3pm server started to do the record. After the record the server doesn`t go to sleep.

Maybe now you can fix the problem.

Thank you Uwe

Looks like server start to download and parse EPG data, and it take some time. How many channels do you have? As i see there is a big part of the logs related to the EPG downloading ...
Usually i recommend to select no more then 200 channels and better 100-150 no more. (At least the average user watch no more then 20 channels > 90% of time, and all else 5-10%, so better to remove that junky channels in order to up the server performance... )
Also disable the Live EPG update option at the Settings.

Hello,

I have 84 TV and 26 radio channels in use. I think, that is not too much. All EPG data keep from TV-Adviser and this is very fast. I check now the time to go standby. I change it from 5 to 15min.

Anyway... The away mode is still on after 30min after recording ends. I checked it with powercfg -requests.

I checked now. Server tries 3 times to go into standby. Allways it wakes up. Only after restart standby works.

Here it is... Thank you for your patience... This log is from yesterday evening until today without a recording and perfect suspend.

Now i do a record at 15:30 - 15:42 (+5min) with a empty log. Normally the Server will go to sleep at 15:52. This log I will post today in the evening. Maybe you can compare them...

Why do you think that DVBLink server does not set away mode properly? Are there any specific indications for that?

According the the log file, DVBLink disables standby for the time of recording and enables it back when recording is finished.

Afterwards your system goes to standby and resumes automatically for one or another reason at 3:00am and 5:00am. Is it not correct?

Hello Oberon,

i think it, because only when DVBLink do a programmed record, my server don`t change to standby. With Mediaportal it works and with DVBViewer it works also.

3am server wakes for shadowcopies. 5am I do a automatic restart. This i programmed for, that he will go into standby for rest of the day... (Sorry for my english).

That's exactly what it does - going to standby, waking up at 3:00am, going to standby, waking up at 5:00am.
