Windows Server 2016

Postby muehlberger » Mon Jan 30, 2017 8:17 am

Hello forum,

fount nothing about the new Server OS - if I missed a thread, plz apologize...

Has anyone already did an upgrade from Server 2012R2? Or a clean install? I'm just wondering, since Server 2016 is now out quite some time.

Thx, muehlberger

Did you have to do anything special or install any extra software before it worked?

Is Windows server now a 'supported' platform?
I.e. if someone has an issue will dvblogic feel compelled to answer?
DVBLink TVSource 6, 4x DigitalDevices S2 Tuners, Win7x64, Dq77MK, e3-1225, 8GB, WMC local, WMC-remote, testing KODI usabilty for TV since 2012 - still failing...

It is not a supported platform, but it depends on each particular issue

really?
- does you server support sleep/wake?
- is it also a domain controller or just a normal member?

Is anybody of you who declare that it's working fine using Acamd for decryption?

I just tested on a fresh win2016 installation and I cant get my channels decrypted.
The channel is tuned correctly, Acamd monitor shows the request and the card server replies but the actual decryption doesn't seem to take place.

Edit: Never mind! I performed a channel search on another satellite and tested a channel on that sat and after that everything worked.
So I can also confirm that win2016 seems to work fine with decryption and everything.
