Server 2008 and Standby with Lightsout

Postby holzfred » Thu Nov 03, 2016 11:32 am

Hello,

@first... Sorry for bad english... :-)

I use a Server W2008 with LightsOut. The clients should now be gradually replaced with Android boxes with Kodi. The server can be awakened by Kodi after start with WOL, but he goes after 10min into standby, because the android clients may not be monitored.

LightsOut can monitor files. Does DVBLink creat a file (temp or something else) that is generated when a client accesses on DVBLink and will be deleted if no clients are active? This could be used to keep the server running.

Thank you for your help.

I do not sure if it is the right thing, but if you are using the timeshift, then you may try this folder DVBLink\share\temp\
There server creates a temp files during the LiveTV and files should be deleted afterwards.
