Dvblink server IDS ERROR!

Postby Ce6at » Sat Sep 10, 2016 8:19 pm

We are using Dvblink server on a Windows pc to serve satellite tv and local dvbt tv to a small hotel with 32 clients.

We are using a digital devices S8 and an A8 cards plus a TBS6905 card.

From time to time the pc restarts due to bsod. Further investigation seem the problem to be related to ddtuner.sys

Sometimes we have the following problem:

Windows machine was running fine but there was no picture on Magboxes. I checked the playlist with vlc and every channel gave an error. Then i run DVBlogic player and got the IDS internal error message. The time was 2016-Sep-10 20:52:52 as i can see from the attached logs the incident seems to happen after a lot of : E] multicast_sink_factory::handle_request. adding http stream client for channel xxxxxxxx
This happens two to three times a day.
Any help would be appreciated.

I think that you need to contact DigitalDevices regarding the bsod I their drivers.

Just an update.
The PC does not give bsod anymore.
However the dvblink service Is running but the player is giving internal error.
Channels do not play on mag boxes. The dvblink device cannot be restarted. Only after reboot everything works again. Any idea why the device is running but we do not get any channels working??

Update:
It seems that after 12 hours more or less the tuners in tvsources window disappear and that makes the server to crash.
Any idea why?

Update:
last night we faced the same problem.
The tuners in tvsource panel were missing.
The cards were shown in the windows device manager as usual.
The service was running but no tv channels.
I went into the configuration of the first tuner and just browsed throught the settings, returned back and all tuners were there.
The server then started working without any reboot!!!!
I thought of a drivers issue but i have 3 different cards 2 of them DD and one TBS so it can't be that both drivers have issues.
This happens about every 10 to 12 hours.

Almost definitely sounds like hardware issue.
It can be power supply, which does not provide enough power to feed all tuners, can be pcie bus, which is overloaded.
You may also try this tool to see if your hardware can cope with load:

This is what i get:

Some device drivers on this machine behave bad and will probably cause drop-outs in real-time audio and/or video streams.
To isolate the misbehaving driver use Device Manager and disable/re-enable various devices, one at a time.
Try network and W-LAN adapters, modems, internal sound devices, USB host controllers, etc.

I leave the latency toll running and change channels on the same pc through VLC.
I do not see anyt red spikes at all.
Propably another device is causing the latency and not the pcie cards.

Update:
Got quite a lot of latency problems regarding ndis.sys
In the lan adapter (82579LM) settings i used the follwoing setting as suggested by intel.

Interupt Moderation Rate = OFF

now so far there are no signs of latency in ndis.sys!!!

Lets hope problem is solved!!!

Better to continue in one thread (here) as all data will be collected in one place.
