Reducing the HD quality for viewing

Postby woidl » Sun Apr 09, 2017 6:53 pm

In Germany the terresterial public televison was switched to HD Quality. My USB stick is able to receive DVBT2 (HD quality) signals correctly, but my Computer is too slow for the DVBlink player displaying the video signals in a good quality. How can I reduce the video resolution to improve the displayed video? Has someone suggestions for solving this problem?

My solution for this problem was to switch to the DVBViewer product. Hereby I configured the different DirectX Decoder options, especially HVEC Video Decoder options appropriately for my Computer. Now I can view HD terresterial public televison with good quality. May be that I succeeded also using DVBLogic, but up to now I got no advices from other users.

One of my TV viewing clients in one of my bedrooms is a very old system, a win10 ZOTAC barebone mini PC with an Nvidia ION chipset from 2009...

DVBLink viewer can't handle my TV HD streams too on that system, but..... when I use Kodi 17 with the DVBLink PVR client addon, TV HD streams are playing flawlessly in KODI, without the need to reduce the quality of the HD streams :D  :!:

Try that, if you still want to use DVBLink as backend for viewing TV
DVBLink server 6.0.0 build14499, DVBLink TVSource 6.0.0 build14061, DVBLink for IPTV build 13107
