Annoying Overlay in Android (FireTV) Client

Postby btaroli » Fri Mar 03, 2017 6:48 am

This overlay started showing up very recently and I have to admit that I find it extremely annoying. It won't disappear unless I hit the "back" button on the remote. I'd like a way to set this not to appear by default, or to set a delay before it automatically dismisses itself. I've gone through all the settings I can find and see nothing that seems to affect it.

The DVBLink Theatre for the Android was updated a day ago. There this Overlay disappears in a few sec.

Yep... DVBLink Theater, latest version, rebooted just to be sure it wasn't running an old one or something. Played video for two minutes and that damn thing didn't auto-dismiss. Any other suggestions? I reviewed player settings and nothing I see there seems to reference this. it was one thing when it was just the progress thumb that wouldn't go away, but now that that stupid audio menu takes up 1/3 of the screen at the top ALSO won't go away, it's friggin annoying.

Just to be sure you do have a latest version.
How player looks like? I mean like before or it became darker?

Well, there's this...

But when you ask what it looks like it honestly doesn't look that different to me...

But as I begin playback I see:

And over a minute later, I still see:

Is there something more I can add to clarify?
