Android TV Box

Postby thesoundman » Wed Aug 31, 2016 10:23 am

Hi 2 the community,

does anybody know if the Android Client App is working on a Android TV Box such as a Himedia Q10 Pro or MiniX Neo X8 H Plus running Android 5.1.1/4.4.2?

I think this should work because the client app is also running on a tablet.

Am i right...?

You need DVBLink Theatre app for this one - it is optimized for big screens and remote control.

Thx Oberon 4 the answer, but the "classic" app in combination with MX Player works very fine, so i would like to keep this "dreamteam".

So the question which is here: will this dreamteam work on a TV Box? It should work, i think...

My researches on the inet don't say anything negative... But can someone confirm my results...?

It should work on android boxes, although you can never exclude that you will run into some issues.
It worked fine for me on a couple of boxes, runs ok on my current box except for one minor issue.

For the "normal" dvblink android app you will need an airmouse or something like it to use the GUI.
The "theatre" app can be operated with up/down/left/right arrows on a remote control.
